That means conditions are favorable for tornadoes to develop, along with damaging winds, hail, and heavy rain. Here’s a quick breakdown of what you need to know:
- Affected Areas: The watch encompasses all of New Hampshire, as well as western and southern Maine. In Massachusetts, the watch covers Worcester, Middlesex, Essex, Franklin, Hampden, Hampshire, and Berkshire counties.
- Timing: The watch is in effect until 8:00 p.M. EDT this evening, Sunday, June 24th, 2024.
- Threats: The main threats are tornadoes, with a 10% chance in parts of New Hampshire and central/western Massachusetts. Damaging winds exceeding 70 mph, hail the size of ping pong balls, and heavy rain are also possible.
