George Clooney Fires Back at Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Not a Movie Star’ Jab

In a recent interview with GQ, George Clooney didn’t mince words when discussing Quentin Tarantino’s less-than-flattering comments about his career. The celebrated actor and director expressed his irritation towards Tarantino’s assertion that Clooney is “not a movie star.”  

The feud was sparked when Tarantino was asked to name some of today’s biggest movie stars. While he mentioned several A-listers, Clooney’s name was conspicuously absent. The “Pulp Fiction” director even went so far as to challenge Clooney to name a successful film he’s starred in since the millennium.  

Clooney, clearly taken aback by Tarantino’s remarks, responded with characteristic wit and candor. The “Ocean’s Eleven” star pointed out the irony of the situation, given his extensive and successful film career. While he acknowledged Tarantino’s talent as a director, Clooney made it clear that he wasn’t going to let the insult slide.
