Remember Donna and David from “Beverly Hills, 90210”? In real life, actress Tori Spelling’s marriage to Dean McDermott seems to be heading towards a less fairytale-like ending. On March 29, 2024, Spelling filed for divorce after 18 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.
The news comes just a few weeks shy of their 18th wedding anniversary. The couple, who met in 2005, have five children together: Liam (17), Stella (15), Hattie (12), Finn (11), and Beau (7).
According to court documents, Spelling is requesting sole physical custody of the children with joint legal custody shared with McDermott. She’s also asking the court for spousal support and to terminate McDermott’s ability to receive spousal support.
This isn’t the first time rumors of trouble in paradise have swirled around the couple. Back in 2013, reports surfaced about McDermott’s infidelity. The couple, who starred in their own reality show “Tori & Dean” from 2007 to 2012, attempted to navigate the scandal publicly.
Whether they’ll be able to maintain an amicable co-parenting relationship this time around remains to be seen. With five children involved, here’s hoping they can prioritize their family’s well-being during this difficult transition.
