New England braces for Hurricane Lee: What to know about the storm and how to stay safe (video)

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) has issued hurricane and tropical storm watches for much of the New England coastline ahead of the arrival of Hurricane Lee.

As of 2:00 AM EDT on September 14, 2023, Lee is a Category 2 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 110 mph. It is located about 420 miles south-southwest of Bermuda and is moving northwest at 7 mph.
