Tiger Woods, the name synonymous with golf greatness, showed glimpses of his old magic at the Genesis Invitational this week, carding an opening-round 72 despite a wild shank on the final hole. While the shank might grab the headlines, it shouldn’t overshadow a largely positive return for the 15-time major champion.

Woods, still battling back from injuries, looked sharp early, striping drives down the fairways of the iconic Riviera Country Club.
