Hallmark Fans Rejoice! Erin Krakow Says She’d Love an “It Was Always You” Sequel with Tyler Hynes
Calling all Hallmark movie lovers! There’s good news for fans of the charming 2021 rom-com “It Was Always You.” In an interview with People magazine, Erin Krakow, the star of the movie (and the beloved “When Calls the Heart” series), expressed her enthusiasm for a potential sequel.
For those who haven’t seen it yet, “It Was Always You” tells the story of Lizzy (played by Krakow), a woman whose perfectly planned life gets a delightful shake-up when her fiancé’s brother David (played by Tyler Hynes) returns home. Sparks fly between Lizzy and David, forcing her to question her rigid plan and embrace a more spontaneous side.
Krakow’s eagerness for a sequel is clear. “I would be very, very happy for us to have a sequel to ‘It Was Always You,'” she told People. She went on to praise her co-star Tyler Hynes, calling him a “great, great guy” and highlighting the on-screen chemistry they shared.
Hynes seems equally interested in revisiting the characters. In a recent interview with Us Weekly, he said it would be “fun” to return to the story of Lizzy and David.
With both lead actors on board, Hallmark fans can now hold their breath (and maybe send a few wishes to the network) in hopes of a sequel announcement. The charming story, combined with the undeniable chemistry between Krakow and Hynes, has all the ingredients for another heartwarming Hallmark hit.
So, will there be an “It Was Always You” sequel? Only time will tell. But one thing’s for sure: Erin Krakow and Tyler Hynes are definitely on board, and Hallmark would be wise to listen to their fans (and their stars!).
